Off to the Karoo

I’m so excited that I can hardly breathe. Tomorrow we set off in The Silver-Winged Unicorn to the vast expanse of The Karoo, one of my favourite places in the world. Two of my favourite people in the world, and I. We will stay in Nieu Bethesda where the air is clear, my heart squeezes in pleasure and the stars are sprinkled liberally in the night skies. A place where donkeys amble about on the dusty streets and there is no petrol station, no grocery store, no ATM. Bliss.

I hope to be inspired, to write.

Hi Shiny, I just read your old post about Nieu Bethesda and the Angel and the donkeys (making mist, I had to add, haha, insider joke), and also I read your old comments! Please you read them again, too! And follow them! While you are there in the Karoo, your courage and your inspiration will grow and soar, and you will imagine that little girl you once were and what she would have wanted to be told when she was six, about all the secrets around her, why donkeys can talk but don`t, how angels are in the air and promise to keep little girls safe, even if life becomes difficult at times, all such important, floating thoughts. Children are already wise, do you remember? Now you are a little girl who has grown, but is even wiser. Make a book! I have three grandchildren. They will love it!

Geli - I'm going back to read the post now. To remember, and remind myself.

Kristin and Lis - belatedly, thank you.
